\n \u201cGoing back to it after all these years was great because I really liked the character, and so to go back and play him now and also this film is like superhero soup. There\u2019s so many of them in it. I just can\u2019t keep up.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Cumming also told People last week that filming Doomsday was not only \u201camazing\u201d in an \u201cooey, gooey way\u201d, but that it was \u201creally healing and really nice to go back to something that was a terrible experience when I did it the first time\u201d.\n<\/p>\n

\n The returning Doomsday cast is set to include the likes of Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Paul Rudd, Tom Hiddleston and Simu Liu.\n<\/p>\n
\n Along with Cumming returning to the franchise, Rebecca Romijn, who played Mystique in the original trilogy and Kelsey Grammer, who portrayed Dr Henry \u201cHank\u201d McCoy, also known as Beast.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n Avengers: Doomsday is due to hit cinemas in December this year.\n<\/p>\n
\n READ MORE: Wes Streeting tells Keir Starmer he’s ‘ready to be next prime minister’<\/a>\n<\/p>\n \n It comes after the Scottish actor criticised the \u201cbad leadership\u201d behind the Bafta<\/a> film awards, and said he would not want to host the event again after the BBC failed to censor an involuntary tick by tourette\u2019s campaigner John Davidson during the broadcast<\/a>, which was on a two-hour time delay.\n<\/p>\n \n Davidson has since said he was \u201cdeeply mortified\u201d by the incident, with Cumming, who hosted the ceremony, describing it as an \u201cinternational scandal\u201d.\n<\/p>\n \n The 61-year-old said: \u201cIt was bad, bad, bad, bad leadership. Bad people who weren\u2019t doing their jobs properly, who really had not prepared and let people down.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
