It\u2019s tough playing alongside Scottie Scheffler – just ask Si Woo Kim and Max Homa.<\/p>\n

Scheffler closed out his third major title following an incredible display of golfing brilliance at the PGA Championship last year.<\/p>\n

Scheffler’s rivals at the PGA Championship looked worn out following their round<\/p>\n

In tough conditions at Quail Hollow<\/a>, Scheffler shot a stunning 65 in the third round before clinching glory the following day.<\/p>\n

His Saturday round included seven birdies and an eagle while he played Quail Hollow\u2019s infamous Green Mile in two-under to impose himself on the major tournament.<\/p>\n

Scheffler was playing the third round alongside South Korea\u2019s Si Woo Kim and Ryder Cup team-mate Max Homa.<\/p>\n

Kim shot a level-par round of 71 while Homa endured a five-over 76, leaving them both out of contention.<\/p>\n

After finishing their rounds, the trio retired to the scorer\u2019s hut to sign their scorecards and reflect on their efforts.<\/p>\n

And the behind-the-scenes moment was picked up by fans around the world on social media.<\/p>\n

As Scheffler noted down the scores of his stunning round, Kim and Homa could be seen next the two-time Masters champion looking shell-shocked.<\/p>\n

With shoulders slumped and a glazed look across their faces, the golfing duo summed up what it would feel like for us mere mortals to play a round alongside the greatness of Scheffler.<\/p>\n

Kim and Homa have ten PGA Tour wins between them but neither could come close to Scheffler’s imperious form at Quail Hollow and their reactions post-round laid that bare.<\/p>\n

Scheffler shot a final round 71 to ease to victory last year, beating his rivals by five-strokes to claim the Wanamaker Trophy.<\/p>\n

A couple of months later, he then produced his best again at Royal Portrush to secure Open glory too.<\/p>\n

Scheffler is now just a US Open victory away from becoming a Grand Slam champion and he will no doubt have a say when the major heads to Shinnecock Hills next month.<\/p>\n

Before that, Scheffler will hope to defend his PGA Championship title at Aronimink Golf Club this week<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The four-time major winner is the favourite for glory in Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

He won the American Express in January and has three-straight runner-ups in his last three starts, including at The Masters last month.<\/p>\n

Comparisons to Tiger Woods have continued this year and should he complete the Grand Slam this summer, those discussion will only increase. <\/p>\n

“It’s pretty wild,” said Scheffler after winning the American Express.<\/p>\n

“It has been a great start to my career and I’ve had some nice wins out there. It has been special and I try not to think about that stuff too much.<\/p>\n

“Going into the season, I was just trying to do the things I needed to do in order to be prepared to come out and play this week. <\/p>\n
