{"id":580496,"date":"2026-05-12T21:20:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T21:20:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/580496\/"},"modified":"2026-05-12T21:20:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T21:20:08","slug":"hamzah-sheeraz-makes-ko-prediction-for-canelo-vs-mbilli-styles-make-fights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/580496\/","title":{"rendered":"Hamzah Sheeraz makes KO prediction for Canelo vs Mbilli: &#8220;Styles make fights&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/boxer\/canelo\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Canelo Alvarez<\/a> is set to challenge Christian Mbilli for the WBC super-middleweight world title upon his September return and whilst many fans are anticipating an intriguing fight, 168lb rival Hamzah Sheeraz is expecting a statement stoppage.<\/p>\n<p>A two-time undisputed ruler of the division, Canelo lost all four of his super-middleweight belts to Terence Crawford in an upset defeat back in September, but the 35-year-old is wasting no time trying to reclaim them and is expected to challenge the newly crowned Mbilli next.<\/p>\n<p>Following Crawford\u2019s retirement, Canelo\u2019s former opponent and current stablemate, Jaime Munguia, has since dethroned Jose Armando Resendiz to get his hands on the WBA title, whilst <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/news\/crawford-old-title-won-by-iglesias\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Osleys Iglesias knocked out Pavel Silyagin last month to become the IBF super-middleweight world champion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As for the WBO strap, Sheeraz takes on Alem Begic at the end of the month in a vacant title showdown, seeking to tee up a unification clash with Mexican superstar, Canelo, for 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/QptfKpVED-0?si=QfPF9jqOHsebT1dJ\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Ring<\/a>, Sheeraz appeared to have no concerns that Canelo would be unsuccessful in handing Mbilli a first defeat, predicting an early knockout win for the pound-for-pound veteran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe that he knocks Mbilli out within six rounds.
