{"id":581061,"date":"2026-05-13T04:17:21","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T04:17:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/581061\/"},"modified":"2026-05-13T04:17:21","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T04:17:21","slug":"nzinga-biegueng-mboup-judges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/581061\/","title":{"rendered":"Nzinga Biegueng Mboup | Judges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/senegal\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Senegalese<\/a> architect Nzinga Biegueng Mboup is the co-founder of Dakar-based practice Worofila. <\/p>\n<p>The practice specialises in bioclimatic design and construction using earth and locally sourced natural materials, with notable projects including the Ngor Vertical House, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/04\/20\/kere-architecture-goethe-institut\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Goethe-Institut in Dakar developed in collaboration with K\u00e9r\u00e9 Architecture<\/a> and the Labo x Fou training centre in S\u00e9bikotane, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/senegal\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Senegal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mboup has also produced a film on earthen architecture in Senegal, titled Bunt BAN, which was exhibited at the 2023 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/venice-architecture-biennale\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Venice Architecture Biennale<\/a>. As a curator, she leads c\/o Dakar, a research program with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/canadian-centre-for-architecture\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Canadian Centre for Architecture<\/a>, investigating Senegal\u2019s largely unarchived architectural heritage.<\/p>\n<p>The architect has delivered talks internationally and taught an Advanced Architecture Design Studio at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/columbia-university\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Columbia University<\/a> in 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Senegalese architect Nzinga Biegueng Mboup is the co-founder of Dakar-based practice Worofila.
