Derek Chisora’s wife has suggested she is happy for him to box again, and he believes Deontay Wilder is open to a rematch.<\/p>\n

Chisora was beaten<\/a> in a back and forth slug-fest with Wilder in March, which appeared to signal the end of his career.<\/p>\n

But despite once again facing calls to retire, which he had stated he would after his 50th professional fight, it appears his story isn’t over yet.<\/p>\n

In an interview with talkSPORT, Chisora declared he would be making a comeback<\/a>, already reversing his decision.<\/p>\n

And he suggested revenge against Wilder was his main priority.<\/p>\n

In a fresh update, Chisora has sugges<\/a>t<\/a>e<\/a>d<\/a> he is now in the process of trying to reach out for a rematch.<\/p>\n

He explained to Sky Sports: “I’m working on the rematch. The wife has given me the green light, so I will be doing the rematch.<\/p>\n

“I haven’t confirmed it yet. I have a couple meetings tomorrow [on Wednesday] and we will see how that goes.<\/p>\n

“He [Wilder] is keen because he’s upset with the result as well. Yes he might have won but he’s upset, so we are going to run it back.”<\/p>\n

When asked if his career could stretch beyond a sequel with Wilder, he continued: “That’s it. At the end of this year I will retire.”<\/p>\n

Chisora is now 42-years-old and has taken some real punishment during some gruelling clashes in his career.<\/p>\n

But given his showdown with Wilder was well matched, and saw him have some success, he will be spurred on by the idea of beating the ‘Bronze Bomber’.<\/p>\n

Wilder got the victory in the end, but by split decision with the judges’ scorecards much closer than many expected.<\/p>\n

It was expected the American would initially look to try and move on, and had called out Anthony Joshua.<\/p>\n

But Joshua has alternative plans now and has signed on the dotted line for a clash with Kristian Prenga<\/a>, followed by Tyson Fury this year.<\/p>\n

He previously held talks with Oleksandr Usyk<\/a> over a world title clash, but that now seems a distant memory.<\/p>\n

Wilder has also suggested he’d be open to a clash with Moses Itauma<\/a>, who has yet to reveal his opponent on August 8<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But exploring a second duel with Chisora may well be his only viable option.<\/p>\n
