A brand new British thriller that’s “packed with twists” has confirmed its exciting cast. Wrong Move is set to look into the “complicated lives of the people trying to take the next steps up the property ladder” and the “misguided notion that moving house can fix everything”.<\/p>\n

Among those set to appear in the Channel 4 series is Broadchurch’s Eve Myles as Catherine, a woman hoping moving to a dream “forever home” will save her marriage to Michael (played by The Diplomat’s Rory Kinnear), a man tested when a “chain begins to crumble”.<\/p>\n

Fargo’s David Thewlis plays central character Trevor, described as “a dangerous sociopath whose vengeful tendencies drive him to terrorise the group of homebuyers at the heart of unfolding events”.<\/p>\n

“Trevor’s last-minute decision to pull out of a house sale sends shockwaves through the entire property chain but it is his manipulative nature that really unsettles those around him,” the synopsis adds.<\/p>\n

Game of Thrones’ David Bradley plays his father Arthur, while Adolescence’s Austin Haynes portrays Catherine and Michael’s son Jack, “whose involvement in the ongoing crisis proves more consequential than anyone expects”. Giant’s Daisy Morgan plays their daughter Molly, while Poldark’s Eleanor Tomlinson and Death Valley’s Gwyneth Keyworth are partners Stella and Juliette \u2013 who are preparing for the arrival of their first child while navigating the consequences of Trevor’s decision.<\/p>\n

Everyone Else Burns’ Ali Khan and Evie Kaisi portray couple Asif and Emily, whose plans for a “fresh start” are thrown into “disarray” amid the events, while Tinsel Town’s Ray Fearon plays Emily’s dad Danny.<\/p>\n

Completing the cast are Amadeus’ Paul Bazely as DS Berry, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’s Laura Elsworthy as DC Jenkins, and Seven Dials’ Alex MacQueen as estate agent Alistair.<\/p>\n

Filming has already commenced on Wrong Move, which comes from Miss Scarlet and the Duke’s Ben Edwards.<\/p>\n

“Wrong Move is a gripping, bold thriller that captures the pressure of moving house and reveals the hidden lives of both the vendors and the buyers,” interim Head of Drama at Channel 4 Gwawr Lloyd previously said.<\/p>\n

“It cleverly exposes just how high the stakes can be within the property chain and how much of a roller\u2011coaster the process becomes for our characters. It\u2019s such a smart and entertaining premise for a show and we\u2019re very excited to be working with Ben Edwards and the Roughcut team.”<\/p>\n
