2<\/p>\n Referee Howard Foster has come under fire for his officiating during Wardley vs DuboisCredit: Queensbe<\/p>\n According to Sky Sports, Team Wardley felt referee Howard Foster should have taken stronger action<\/a> against Dubois for ‘multiple low blows and headbutts’.<\/p>\n They are also seeking an explanation from the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) as to why Foster stepped in ten seconds before the end of the seventh round after Wardley landed a flurry of big shots.<\/p>\n This comes after Wardley’s trainer, Ben Davison, praised Foster for his handling of the bout during a statement released on Sunday.<\/p>\n Both Davison and Foster have come under fire in the aftermath of the fight for not pulling Wardley out sooner.<\/p>\n READ MORE ON BOXING <\/p>\n The Ipswich puncher was out on his feet at the end of the ninth round and stumbled as he got off his stool for the tenth.<\/p>\n Ben Davison’s statement<\/p>\n Taking to social media to respond to the backlash, Davison wrote: \u201cFirstly, congrats to Dubois. <\/p>\n “Two tremendous warriors in a modern-day classic.
