Worcestershire Captain Brett D\u2019Oliveira says his side is eager to get back on track this weekend after a turbulent third day against Durham saw his Pears outfit taste defeat for the second time in as many weeks. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
A positive start to 2026 saw the Pears go unbeaten in their first three matches of the Division Two season, before a bump in the road culminated in a hurried third-day defeat to Ben Stokes\u2019 Durham on Sunday.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Having\u00a0ascertained\u00a0a lead in the match, the home side looked well set to take the game into a competitive position at the halfway stage, but a disappointing second innings with the bat allowed the visitors to strengthen their grip on proceedings at New Road.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Keen to acknowledge where his side went wrong,\u00a0D\u2019Oliveira\u00a0says the batters amongst the group are out to make a positive statement this weekend.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe frustrating thing from inside the dressing room is that we were right in the contest against Durham for\u00a0the majority of\u00a0the match.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
