{"id":584010,"date":"2026-05-14T18:02:09","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T18:02:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/584010\/"},"modified":"2026-05-14T18:02:09","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T18:02:09","slug":"sewage-pollution-warning-at-budleigh-salterton-beach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/584010\/","title":{"rendered":"Sewage pollution warning at Budleigh Salterton beach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  East Devon District Council said the Environment Agency &#8211; South and South West is advising against bathing at Budleigh Salterton following a pollution incident.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The incident began at 11.23pm on Wednesday, May 13, according to the Environment Agency.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The affected bathing water is Budleigh Salterton, where bathing is not advised due to pollution from sewage.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Budleigh Salterton is at the mouth of the River Otter on the south coast of Devon.
