(Photo by David Ramos\/Getty Images)\" class=\"wp-image-334619\" title=\"Injured Manchester United starter back in training pre-Arsenal clash 2\" \/>Photo by David Ramos\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Samuel Luckhurst reports for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/sport\/football\/football-news\/manchester-united-major-injury-boost-32223162\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Manchester Evening News<\/a> that <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycannon.com\/tag\/andre-onana\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Andre Onana<\/a> is targeting a return from his hamstring injury in the opening game of the new Premier League campaign against Arsenal next weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Despite not playing a single one of United\u2019s recent friendlies, the goalkeeper reportedly remains confident that he\u2019ll be fit in time for the competitive fixtures.<\/p>\n<p>Luckhurst adds that Onana has resumed goalkeeper training at United\u2019s training ground, having only been involved in non-contact sessions whilst on tour with the club.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"638\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/tottenham-hotspur-v-manchester-united-uefa-europa-league-final-2025.jpg\" alt=\"BILBAO, SPAIN: Andre Onana of Manchester United looks dejected following defeat in the UEFA Europa League Final 2025 between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United at Estadio de San Mames on May 21, 2025. (Photo by Carl Recine\/Getty Images)\" class=\"wp-image-334617\" title=\"Injured Manchester United starter back in training pre-Arsenal clash 3\" \/>Photo by Carl Recine\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel good, I feel great,\u201d Onana said last week. \u201cIt\u2019s been a few difficult weeks but, yes, hopefully, I will be back for the start of the season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m enjoying the training with my guys and we are looking forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A return for Onana against Arsenal would be a boost for United, given the initial timeline suggested he wouldn\u2019t be back until August 23rd at the very earliest.
