Worcestershire County\u00a0Cricket\u00a0Club\u00a0can confirm\u00a0the signing of\u00a0Durham\u00a0spinner\u00a0George Drissell on a one-match loan, effective\u00a0immediately.<\/p>\n
Drissell\u00a0will join the squad\u00a0ahead of this week\u2019s\u00a0Rothesay County Championship\u00a0clash away\u00a0to\u00a0Lancashire.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The off spinner, who has 35 first class wickets to his name,\u00a0recorded\u00a0career-best figures of\u00a05-59\u00a0for\u00a0Durham against Somerset\u00a0in July last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The signing comes in wake of an injury to frontline spinner Fateh Singh, who injured his ankle in the lead up to the 2nd XI game on Monday. <\/p>\n
Fateh will undergo scans to determine the length of his absence, but remains in the hands of the medical department in the meantime.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Men\u2019s Head Coach, Alan Richardson, said:\u00a0\u201cGiven the untimely\u00a0injury sustained by Fateh in the week, we\u00a0have had to act swiftly to\u00a0acquire\u00a0a spinner ahead of Friday.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
