\n NHS waiting lists fell by 110,000 in March, the largest monthly drop since 2008 outside of the pandemic period.\n<\/p>\n
\n Tom Hayes, the Labour MP for Bournemouth East,said: \u201cThe NHS is being put back on its feet.\n<\/p>\n

\n “It is encouraging to see waiting lists coming down, emergency response times improving, and more people getting the care they need faster.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The latest data shows 65.3 per cent of patients were treated within target waiting times, ahead of the 65 per cent goal.\n<\/p>\n
\n Ambulance response times also improved, with crews reaching stroke and heart attack patients in 30 minutes and four seconds \u2013 the fastest in five years.\n<\/p>\n
\n A&E performance rose to 77.1 per cent, also the highest in five years.\n<\/p>\n
\n Mr Hayes said: “I thank NHS staff who go above and beyond for patients.\n<\/p>\n
\n “There is more work to do, these figures show that the NHS is moving in the right direction and go further and faster.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n The NHS has balanced its books for the first time in nine years.\n<\/p>\n
