A pharmacy in the centre of a North Devon town has announced its closure.<\/p>\n

Well Pharmacy in Bideford<\/a> confirmed in a Facebook post on Monday that its High Street branch will shut on May 22, leaving locals concerned about access to prescriptions and vital healthcare services.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Well Pharmacy in Bideford said: \u201cWe are sorry to inform you that this branch will be permanently closing.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo prescription can be collected after this date as the dispensary will be closed.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease ensure there is no medication waiting for you and everything has been collected as early as possible.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has been agreed that all our patients will be transferred to Bideford Pharmacy after this date and there should be little disruption. Please speak to a member of staff for more information and advice.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would like to take this opportunity to thank all our patients and customers for your kindness and continued support.\u201d<\/p>\n

The announcement was met by concern.<\/p>\n

One Facebook user commented on the post: \u201cShocking, another eyesore for Bideford high street, and all those elderly patients are meant to walk up the hill to the medical centre.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another said: \u201cIt\u2019s so sad to lose another pharmacy in Bideford. No pharmacy in the high street and more pressure on the other pharmacies to serve the population.\u201d<\/p>\n

A third said: \u201cCrazy for a town not to have a central pharmacy.\u201d<\/p>\n
