The two fighters are set to renew their rivalry at 140lbs after first facing off one division down in October 2024. Davis\u2019 majority decision win was later overturned to a no contest when he tested positive for marijuana.<\/p>\n
Bad blood between the pair intensified less than a year later when Albright beat Keyshawn\u2019s older brother, Kalvin Davis, and later claimed to have been jumped by the fighting family backstage.<\/p>\n
At today\u2019s weigh-in, \u2018The Businessman\u2019 initially came in at 140.2lbs before weighing 140.1lbs when stripped down. Following some time away, he returned to make 140lbs exactly.<\/p>\n
It is a familiar story for the undefeated American, who lost his WBO lightweight world title on the scales in June 2025 ahead of a defence against Edwin De Los Santos \u2013 the same fight card on which Albright beat Kalvin.<\/a> He weighed 4.3lbs over the 135 limit and the main event was called off, with De Los Santos not getting his shot at the belt.<\/p>\n Davis \u2013 who hours before taking to the scales posted a picture on social media showing the strain of the weight cut \u2013 made his super-lightweight debut in January this year, stopping Jamaine Ortiz in the final round of their New York showdown.<\/p>\n Though the Albright fight goes ahead, it may be Davis\u2019 last in this division.
