<\/p>\nHistory beckons for the Jambos if they can avoid defeat against the Hoops on Saturday<\/p>\n
Hearts bus for a potential victory parade<\/p>\n
They have been top of the Scottish Premiership since September – and Hearts <\/a>are ramping up planning for their potential title celebrations.<\/p>\n The title race has gone to the wire as the Jambos travel to defending champions Celtic<\/a> on the final day of the season, knowing that avoiding defeat in Glasgow’s east end would create history.<\/p>\n It would be the first time in 66 years that the title has made its way to Gorgie – and would break Sir Alex Ferguson’s run of being the last boss<\/a> to take the trophy outside of Glasgow, which was last achieved by his Aberdeen<\/a> side in 1985.<\/p>\n So, it’s understandable that excitement is building – and an image is circulating on social media of the bus that will be used during the title celebrations, if Hearts can see off Martin O’Neill’s men.<\/p>\n The maroon-colour bus is emblazoned with the word ‘champions’ and also reads ‘glorious Hearts’.<\/p>\n Plans are in place for road closures and diversions in the capital on Sunday 17 May to accommodate a victory parade, should the Jambos get the job done.<\/p>\n The planned parade route will begin at Edinburgh City Chambers on the Royal Mile, heading down The Mound towards Gorgie via Haymarket, ending at Tynecastle Park.<\/p>\n Follow Record Sport on Twitter<\/a>, Facebook<\/a> and Instagram<\/a> for all of the up-to-the minute breaking news, video and audio on the SPFL, the Scotland national team and beyond.<\/p>\n You can get all the news you need on our Celtic<\/a> page and sign up to our newsletters<\/a> to make sure you never miss a beat throughout the season.<\/p>\n We’re also on WhatsApp where we bring all the latest breaking news and transfer gossip directly to you phone.
