The Honor 600 faces fierce competition mainly from slightly older devices released in 2025, which, in our opinion, are still relevant. Right now, the phone can be found for a little more than \u20ac500, and if you catch the early bird pricing, you can get the 8GB\/256GB memory configuration for the price of the 8GB\/128GB variant.<\/p>\n

The handset goes against the Xiaomi 15T series (the Honor 600 slots in right between the 15T and the 15T Pro in terms of pricing), the Oppo Reno15, the OnePlus 15R, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE and even the Honor 400 Pro from last year, which matches the Honor 600’s price if you can still find it in stock.<\/p>\n

The common theme here is that most of the Honor 600’s competitors have a dedicated zoom camera. Yes, the Honor 600’s main sensor is pretty solid and allows very good 2x crops, decent 4x crops even, but having a dedicated zoom camera is always a good thing. Especially since some of the devices like the Oppo Reno15, the Galaxy S25 FE and the Xiaomi 15T Pro have 3x zoom cameras or higher. The OnePlus 15R is the only exception, as it settles for a dual-camera setup like the Honor 600. Having a great main camera just won’t cut it anymore, even in this mid-range class.<\/p>\n

Another big misstep is the chipset. Except for the Reno15, all other phones on this list offer substantially better performance. Some phones like the Galaxy S25 FE, Xiaomi 15T and the OnePlus 15R even have flagship-grade SoCs.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the Honor 600’s display, charging and battery life are more than just competitive. The display is the brightest of the bunch and supports HDR content on YouTube and Netflix. Battery life is definitely the phone’s strong suit, outclassing most of its competitors and falling short only of the OnePlus 15R. And as for the charging speed, it’s right up there with the best in class.<\/p>\n

Last but not least, the Honor 600 offers the longest software support out of all the phones on this list, except the Galaxy S25 FE, which is entitled to 7 major OS upgrades starting 2025.<\/p>\n

As for the homegrown competition, the Honor 600 Pro only really makes sense if you want a more powerful chipset and a dedicated telephoto camera. But you’d have to go over your budget. Alternatively, if you are strictly looking for an Honor phone, then consider the Honor 400 Pro from last year. It costs around the same while having the telephoto camera, snappier chipset and supports wireless charging. Battery life isn’t as great, though.<\/p>\n

Verdict<\/p>\n

All in all, the Honor 600 is a good all-rounder with a great display, long and dependable battery life, it’s quick to charge, and the main camera produces excellent stills day and night.<\/p>\n

However, the lack of a dedicated telephoto camera, which appears to be a standard feature in this price segment, and the rather underpowered chipset will likely cost the Honor 600 some sales. Especially last year’s Honor 400 Pro, which rights all these wrongs and carries the same price tag.<\/p>\n
