{"id":587956,"date":"2026-05-16T21:41:10","date_gmt":"2026-05-16T21:41:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/587956\/"},"modified":"2026-05-16T21:41:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-16T21:41:10","slug":"police-helicopter-used-in-major-search-for-boy-14-in-devon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/587956\/","title":{"rendered":"Police helicopter used in &#8216;major search&#8217; for boy, 14, in Devon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A police helicopter is being used in a &#8220;major search operation&#8221; for missing 14-year-old Taylor Charlton, as detectives continue to ask the public to avoid &#8220;speculation on social media&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The search is focussing on the River Taw area of Barnstaple, Devon, and involves Devon and Cornwall Police, fire crews, the RNLI and HM Coastguard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">On Friday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/cvgzqqvvevyo\" class=\"ssrcss-1e0jzsh-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a pair of shoes were found<\/a> that police believe belonged to Taylor, who was last seen on 8 May at about 22:40 BST near a Tesco in the Seven Brethren area.
