Keyshawn Davis got whatever revenge there was to get, more or less, with a one-sided decision win over Nahir Albright in their rematch tonight from Norfolk, Virginia.<\/p>\n
Working with a hometown advantage and pretty much every physical advantage, Davis improved to 15-0 (10 KO) with a clear and wide unanimous decision victory. Judges scored it 117-109, 118-108, and 118-108, with really the only blemish on the night for Keyshawn coming when he bodyslammed Albright and earned a two-point deduction.<\/p>\n
Otherwise, it was the Keyshawn Davis Show, for better or worse. It wasn\u2019t a pretty fight to watch and while he dominated in some ways, the bout was so ugly and so often dull for anyone who wasn\u2019t in the building and rooting for the hometown guy that it feels a little odd to call it a domination.<\/p>\n
Davis had beaten Albright back in 2023, only to have the decision changed to a no-contest when he failed a post-fight drug test for marijuana. Last year, Albright beat Keyshawn\u2019s brother, Kelvin, and there was a backstage dust-up between the teams, involving Keyshawn.<\/p>\n
While Keyshawn later apologized for his behavior in general, it was clear that he was seeking some measure of revenge against Albright this week, and he got whatever there was to get tonight.<\/p>\n
\u201cI felt good. He\u2019s a crafty fighter, he\u2019s been around. I tried to go for the knockout,\u201d Keyshawn said after the fight. \u201cWe all see he was hurt, but I just didn\u2019t get it. I got the decision, that\u2019s all that matters.\u201d<\/p>\n
Davis did address the bodyslam, saying, \u201cHe likes to hold and punch, that\u2019s what he does. One time he was just on my neck and, like, I get angry sometimes, so I flipped him over.\u201d<\/p>\n
Davis also did acknowledge that Albright caught him with a good shot, which was really the one round in the fight that you could give to Albright (17-3-1, 7 KO).<\/p>\n
\u201cI felt like I was beating him up every round,\u201d he said. \u201cHe caught me with one good shot, I ain\u2019t gonna lie, and I\u2019m, like, nah, I\u2019m about to beat you up now, you ain\u2019t gettin\u2019 anything else off.\u201d<\/p>\n
