{"id":589095,"date":"2026-05-17T14:33:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-17T14:33:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/589095\/"},"modified":"2026-05-17T14:33:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-17T14:33:08","slug":"police-extensive-enquiries-in-search-for-boy-taylor-charlton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/589095\/","title":{"rendered":"Police &#8216;extensive enquiries&#8217; in search for boy Taylor Charlton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Police said fire crews, the RNLI and HM Coastguard were involved in the search, while North Dartmoor Search and Rescue said it had assisted alongside their counterparts from Exmoor. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The search and rescue team said it had covered &#8220;coastal paths, river banks, woodland, abandoned buildings, field systems and streets&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">On Friday, a pair of shoes were found that police believe belonged to Taylor, who was last seen on 8 May at about 22:40 BST near a Tesco in the Seven Brethren area. The force said at the time he may have entered the water.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Police again thanked the public who have responded to appeals for information and said it would &#8220;pursue all avenues of enquiry&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;There has been an amazing response from the community and we recognise how much everyone wants to help find Taylor. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;If you are out looking, please help us by not putting yourself at risk.
