Jake Paul has lashed out after Conor McGregor’s comeback was announced during his debut MMA show.<\/p>\n

The American hosted his first event yesterday, which saw Ronda Rousey submit Gina Carano inside 17 seconds<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But during the event, notably during Francis Ngannou<\/a>‘s walkout, Dana White<\/a> announced a blockbuster UFC<\/a> card.<\/p>\n

He confirmed that Conor McGregor will make a comeback<\/a> after five years, when he will take on Max Holloway in July.<\/p>\n

Paddy Pimblett will also feature on a blockbuster bill.<\/p>\n

Paul hit out at the timing of the announcement, slamming regular nemesis White.<\/p>\n

“Oh, the cokehead is back,” Paul said. <\/p>\n

“That’s cool, bro. Drop it during our event. It doesn’t matter. <\/p>\n

“That just shows how pressed they are \u2013 little, insecure boys trying to piggyback off their event and try to put some news over top of us. It’s not going to work, buddy.”<\/p>\n

His business partner and former UFC chief financial officer Nakisa Bidarian was less scathing.<\/p>\n

“On the flip side, I’m super excited Conor is back,” Bidarian added. “He’s one of the most engaging characters in the sport. <\/p>\n

“I think it’s good for the sport. I’ve said this numerous times: The biggest fight outside of Paul-Tyson globally is Paul-McGregor. <\/p>\n

“Hopefully Conor is back and hopefully these two run it in boxing and MMA and we shatter their records all over again. <\/p>\n

McGregor’s return – long in the making<\/p>\n

McGregor has been eyeing a comeback on and off since breaking his leg in a defeat to Dustin Poirier<\/a> in 2021.<\/p>\n

He was due to face Michael Chandler<\/a> in 2024, but broke his toe and the return was cancelled.<\/p>\n

But now it will be a huge rematch against Holloway at 170lbs, a big name and a captivating battle of two striking geniuses.<\/p>\n
