Tess Daly<\/a> and Vernon Kay<\/a> were in high spirits this weekend in their first joint outing since shocking the public with news of their separation<\/a>.<\/p>\n The former Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> host, 57, and BBC<\/a> Radio 2 presenter, 52, have been married for over two decades<\/a> and share two daughters, Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16.<\/p>\n For years, they\u2019ve been one of the nation\u2019s golden couples, beaming alongside one another on red carpets and supporting each other\u2019s career endeavours, from Vernon sitting proudly in the audience of Tess\u2019s final Strictly show to them co-hosting The One Show<\/a> in February this year.<\/p>\n So when they released a statement last week to announce their divorce<\/a>, it\u2019s fair to say no one saw it coming<\/a>.<\/p>\n And despite swirling claims of the so-called \u2018real reasons\u2019 for the breakup, Tess and Vernon are clearly determined to maintain a united front<\/a>.<\/p>\n Photos captured them at Pub in the Park on Saturday afternoon at\u00a0Higginson Park in Marlow.<\/p>\n \t\t The food and music festival<\/a> featured live cooking demos and plenty of snacking opportunities on Michelin-star dishes, while performances came from Craig David, McFly<\/a>, Jools Holland, Gabrielle, and more.<\/p>\n New exes Tess and Vernon are said to have looked \u2018super happy and friendly\u2019, with the Family Fortunes star on beers while Tess drank \u2018English sparkling wine from Chapel Down\u2019.<\/p>\n \u2018They seemed super relaxed, chatty, and happy together,\u2019 an onlooker told the Daily Mail<\/a>. \u2018They were seen strolling about, eating food from George & The Dragon and Tommy\u2019s Pie Shop.<\/p>\n \u2018Both even stopped to pose with fans and then went to have a boogie to Craig David. Tess let her hair down and was seen dancing away. Vernon doing typical dad moves!\u2019<\/p>\n Indeed, they were more than happy to give their time to fans, taking selfies in the tents and posing alongside actor Will Mellor backstage.<\/p>\n Vernon was even wearing his wedding ring, following claims that he and Tess decided to \u2018keep it classy\u2019 by raising a glass of champagne for a toast at their family mansion when dropping their split bombshell.<\/p>\n \t\t It\u2019s believed they are still living together at their sprawling Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, property while planning out the next steps.<\/p>\n Some sources say there has been \u2018no big fallout\u2019 and both parties \u2018only want the best for each other\u2019 after \u2018gradually growing apart\u2019.<\/p>\n However, other friends close to Tess and Vernon paint a different picture.<\/p>\n \u2018Tess isn\u2019t as chilled about the split as is being put out there,\u2019 revealed one insider<\/a> familiar with the couple.<\/p>\n \u2018She has gone along with the announcement and has publicly remained silent, but in fact she isn\u2019t very happy at all with Vernon.\u2019<\/p>\n It\u2019s claimed that the ghost of Vernon\u2019s past infidelity still looms, with glamour model Rhian Sugden, whom he admitted to messaging for months behind his wife\u2019s back, remaining \u2018a constant in their marriage\u2019.<\/p>\n \t\t Sorry, this video isn’t available any more.<\/p>\n \u2018Tess tried so hard to get over it at the time. It took everything out of her to move on and forget about Rhian.\u2019<\/p>\n This follows his own dad\u2019s remarks<\/a> about it being \u2018100% rubbish\u2019 that his son is looking for love again already, shutting down the prospect that anyone else was \u2018involved\u2019 in the split.<\/p>\n In 2010, headlines erupted after Vernon was exposed for sending explicit messages to \u2018four or five women\u2019, one being Rhian, whom he\u2019d met at a nightclub in Bolton, for four months.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tTess Daly and Vernon Kay’s split statement in full\t\t\t<\/p>\n ‘After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably.<\/p>\n \u2018This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us.<\/p>\n \u2018We remain great friends and most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority.<\/p>\n \u2018There are no other parties involved in this decision.<\/p>\n \u2018We kindly ask for privacy during this time as we navigate this transition together.<\/p>\n \u2018We will not be making any further public comments.\u2019<\/p>\n At the time, his representatives insisted his relationship with Rhian was not physical, but he still grovelled live on the Radio 1 show he hosted at the time.<\/p>\n Revealing that his wife was \u2018extremely upset\u2019, Vernon apologised, declaring himself an \u2018idiot\u2019 and vowing to \u2018never do it again\u2019.<\/p>\n \u2018I\u2019ve let down my wife, Tess. I\u2019m an idiot,\u2019 he said live to the thousands listening. \u2018I\u2019ve been stupid and daft, but I\u2019m not a sex pest.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t He added: \u2018In some ways, I\u2019m glad this story has come out. It feels like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders.\u2019<\/p>\n In the aftermath, Tess stuck by him, telling The One Show a month later that they had \u2018two beautiful kids\u2019, and while it was a hard thing to deal with publicly, they\u2019d already had \u201910 great years together\u2019.<\/p>\n In 2017, Tess referenced the scandal again and said their marriage was always \u2018a work in progress\u2019.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Rhian, who is now aged 39 and married with a son to former Coronation Street actor Oliver Mellor, made no secret of how the ordeal \u2018ruined\u2019 her life.<\/p>\n \u2018I felt like I was going up and up with my career, and then that\u00a0came along.
