Daniel Levy decided to sack Postecoglou<\/a> owing to Spurs\u2019 league woes, even if they did win a trophy on the continent.<\/p>\n But either way, a new era in north London is about to begin, and Thomas Frank\u2019s<\/a> arrival has provided reason for optimism among Tottenham fans.<\/p>\n Frank\u2019s Brentford side consistently punched above their weight since their promotion to the English top flight, and the Danish manager deserves a chance at a top club.<\/p>\n That being said, Gary Lineker<\/a>, Alan Shearer<\/a> and Micah Richards have all now provided their thoughts on where Spurs will finish under Frank this season.<\/p>\n Speaking on \u2018The Rest Is Football\u2019 podcast, Lineker predicted that Tottenham could rise to a European place this season \u2013 something Shearer thought was a stretch too far.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Tottenham fans all notice the same thing about Son Heung-min after his MLS debut for LAFC<\/a><\/p>\n Lineker began the chat: \u201cI\u2019d sense an improvement will happen this season. I think they\u2019ll be well-organized, probably play slightly differently to they did under big Ange.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cBig improvement incoming, I think the European spots are what I\u2019m gonna go for.\u201d<\/p>\n Shearer replied: \u201cDo you? That far, do you? That\u2019s a big ask to go from 17th to qualifying for Europe, isn\u2019t it? In terms of getting in the top six, isn\u2019t it? It\u2019s a big one.<\/p>\n \u201cI see them obviously improving, but I don\u2019t see that much improvement.
