\n Spitfire II, created by British artist Richard Cresswell, is now on public display outside the terminal at Farnborough Airport, in partnership with The Sculpture Park in Farnham.\n<\/p>\n
\n The kinetic artwork, which rotates with the wind, is inspired by the iconic Spitfire aircraft and will remain at the airport until the end of July.\n<\/p>\n

\n The timing of the display coincides with key events including Armed Forces Day in June and the Farnborough International Airshow in July.\n<\/p>\n
\n Simon Geere, CEO of Farnborough Airport, said: “This installation is a celebration of British innovation, engineering and artistry.\n<\/p>\n
\n “As we approach Armed Forces Day and the Farnborough International Airshow, it provides a meaningful opportunity to recognise and reflect on our aviation heritage and the role Farnborough plays in the UK\u2019s aviation story, while supporting The Sculpture Park to showcase British artistic talent.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Farnborough Airport was once home to the Royal Aircraft Establishment, where pioneering aerodynamic research helped shape the Spitfire\u2019s performance and evolution.\n<\/p>\n
