A person has died after being struck by a train in Northallerton, British Transport Police has confirmed.<\/p>\n
Emergency services were dispatched to Northallerton Railway Station at approximately 2.50pm on Monday, May 18.<\/p>\n
Tragically, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.<\/p>\n
All lines between York and Darlington remain blocked, with disruption anticipated to continue until 6pm.<\/p>\n
A Network Rail spokesperson stated: “The emergency services dealing with an incident between York and Darlington \/ Middlesborough \/ Sunderland means all lines are closed. As a result, trains will be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.<\/p>\n
