Business Beat: Longview fitness, gymnastics center opens; game shop to expand<\/p>\n

Logos Edge Gymnastics Academy and Activities Center is now operating in the former Parke Way Fitness building in Longview.<\/p>\n

The former LifePoint Church also was previously located there, and the church operated the fitness center.<\/p>\n

Logos Edge was founded by Terry and Mishika Marrow. The husband and wife share a \u201cpassion for sports, faith and investing in the next generation,\u201d the organization\u2019s website says. \u201cTheir vision was to build more than just a gym \u2013 they want to create a place where children and families can grow in strength, character and community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Terry, an Air Force veteran, and Mishika homeschool their daughter, Amayah, now 16, who is a gymnast.<\/p>\n

Logos Edge first opened in another location in September 2025 before moving to Bill Owens Parkway building.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Lord just opened the doors to this place,\u201d said Ashley Quintanilla, coordinator of marketing, child care and events.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey basically wanted to have a safe and family oriented facility to help (their daughter) continue her gymnastic journey. That\u2019s what led them to start Logos Edge.\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The larger facility has allowed Logos Edge to expand. The activity center offers members a variety of fitness classes, pickleball and basketball courts, with membership that includes child care.<\/p>\n

For gymnastics training, Logos Edge offers competitive gymnastics teams and pre-team training.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s one thing we pride ourselves on is the parents are very involved,\u201d Quintanilla said.<\/p>\n

Ninja classes and mommy and me classes also are offered, along with parents\u2019 night out on the third Friday of each month.<\/p>\n

Silver Sneakers is also offered for senior adults.<\/p>\n

Three Suns plans expansion<\/p>\n

For almost 13 years Three Suns Unlimited has been \u201cThe Hangout for Cards, Games, & More\u201d in Longview.<\/p>\n

Owners and Navy veterans Randall and Christine Mick started the game and hobby retail shop that offers \u201corganized play\u201d \u2013 think Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering games and more\u2013 and family entertainment.<\/p>\n

The store has been inside a portion of the building at 2147 Gilmer Road, but the Micks have now purchased the entire building. They are waiting for permits from the city of Longview to begin construction to expand. When it\u2019s all said and done, Three Suns Unlimited will be 9,000 square feet, with more retail space and more spaces for people to come together and play games of all types.<\/p>\n

The Micks credit their 13-year-success to the community.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe community has done so much for us and let us know what they want, and we kind of step up and do what we can to support our community,\u201d Randall said.<\/p>\n

Some of their customers came in as children.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd now they have children of their own,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The store was named for their three sons who are adults now. One of them, Steven Mick, works in the store and was helping his father this past week process merchandise that had just arrived.<\/p>\n

Customers are anticipating the expansion.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt gets me excited that they\u2019re happy that this is going on,\u201d Randall said.<\/p>\n

Construction is expected to start soon. When the work is done, the store will have to close for a few days while Three Suns gets the expansion area ready for business.<\/p>\n
