The song has surged from No. 65 three weeks earlier as the biopic Michael continues to draw moviegoers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/culture\/tv-film\/michael-reclaims-top-box-office-spot-may-17-1236250149\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">topping the latest box office<\/a> over its fourth weekend of release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMeanwhile, BTS\u2019 \u201cSwim\u201d adds a sixth week atop the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/billboard-global-excl-us\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Billboard Global Excl. U.S.<\/a> chart.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cBillie Jean\u201d totaled 51.5 million streams (up 7% week over week) and 3,000 sold (down 3%) worldwide May 8-14, according to Luminate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tJackson, who died in 2009, is No. 1 on the Global 200 for the first time. Meanwhile, \u201cBillie Jean\u201d shatters the record for the longest rise to the top, reigning in its 144th week. (The chart began in September 2020.) It bests Djo\u2019s \u201cEnd of Beginning,\u201d which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/djo-end-of-beginning-global-200-number-one-1236153401\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">led at last<\/a> in its 94th week in January, boosted by related buzz for Netflix\u2019s Stranger Things.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cBillie Jean\u201d also dates back the furthest among all Global 200 No. 1s, having been released on Jackson\u2019s album Thriller in November 1982; it dominated the U.S.-based Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks in March-April 1983.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe next-oldest songs to have led the Global 200: Wham!\u2019s \u201cLast Christmas,\u201d from 1984; Kate Bush\u2019s \u201cRunning Up That Hill (A Deal With God),\u201d from 1985, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/kate-bush-harry-styles-global-charts-june-18-1235086492\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">driven<\/a> by its own Stranger Things tie-in; Mariah Carey\u2019s \u201cAll I Want for Christmas Is You,\u201d from 1994 (for a record 20 weeks); and Justin Bieber\u2019s \u201cBeauty and a Beat,\u201d featuring Nicki Minaj \u2014 the No. 1 song the past two weeks. Bieber played Coachella in Indio, Calif., on both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/pop\/justin-bieber-coachella-2026-headliner-recap-1236216550\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">April 11<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/music-news\/justin-bieber-billie-eilish-coachella-weekend-two-1236226510\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">April 18<\/a>, with the song, a No. 5 hit on the Hot 100 in 2013, part of his April 11 set.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFellow Thriller classic \u201cBeat It\u201d hits the Global 200\u2019s top five (7-5), up 7% to 39.6 million streams worldwide. (It topped the Hot 100 for three weeks in April-May 1983.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tElsewhere in the top five of the Global 200, BTS\u2019 \u201cSwim\u201d holds at No. 2 after leading in its first four weeks on the chart in April and Tame Impala and JENNIE\u2019s \u201cDracula\u201d keeps at No. 4 after reaching No. 2.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cSwim\u201d continues at No. 1 on Global Excl. U.S. with 46.9 million streams (down 6%) and 3,000 sold (down 8%) outside the U.S.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cBeauty and a Beat\u201d repeats at No. 2 after two weeks atop Global Excl. U.S. earlier this month; \u201cBillie Jean\u201d is steady at its No. 3 best; \u201cDracula\u201d is a non-mover at No. 4 after hitting No. 2; and \u201cBeat It\u201d remains at its No. 5 high.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by Luminate. The Global 200 is inclusive of worldwide data and the Global Excl.
