{"id":592582,"date":"2026-05-19T14:17:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-19T14:17:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/592582\/"},"modified":"2026-05-19T14:17:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-19T14:17:08","slug":"photographer-kevin-wilson-aims-to-capture-portraits-of-100-centenarians","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/592582\/","title":{"rendered":"Photographer Kevin Wilson aims to capture portraits of 100 centenarians"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A photographer is aiming to capture 100 portraits of centenarians &#8211; recording their stories along the way.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">In 2012 Kevin Wilson, from Dorchester, Dorset, photographed 20 100-year-olds for his fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society, and the collection was turned into a book.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He revived the project after being asked to photograph a friend&#8217;s 105-year-old mother and has so far gathered portraits of 56 of people who are 100 years old or more.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He is still looking for subjects and hopes to complete the project by the end of the year before holding an exhibition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A photographer is aiming to capture 100 portraits of centenarians &#8211; recording their stories along the way.
