Kylie Minogue<\/a>\u00a0has responded to\u00a0rumours\u00a0that she is set to appear on\u00a0Madonna<\/a>\u2019s new album \u2018Confessions II<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

The Queen of Pop\u00a0is preparing to release her 15th\u00a0studio album on July 3<\/a>, the spiritual sequel to her landmark \u2018Confessions\u00a0On\u00a0A\u00a0Dance Floor\u2019 record in 2005. So far, she has shared two tracks, \u2018I Feel So Free<\/a>\u2019 and \u2018Bring Your Love<\/a>\u2019,\u00a0a collaboration with\u00a0Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Another A-list popstar that some have speculated might feature on the album is Kylie, and in a new interview with the Los Angeles Times<\/a>, the \u2018Padam\u00a0Padam\u2019 singer has shed some light on the situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s a random thing,\u201d Minogue said in response to the suggestion that she would be on \u2018Confessions II\u2019. \u201cThere was a rumour I was on her album, but I\u2019m not,\u201d she continued, before adding: \u201cI\u2019m excited to hear it all!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Kylie has been teasing at\u00a0possible Madonna\u00a0collaborations in recent years, especially in the wake of\u00a0their appearance on stage together at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on one night of Madonna\u2019s \u2018Celebration\u2019 tour in 2024<\/a>,\u00a0where they sang duets of \u2018Can\u2019t Get You Out\u00a0Of\u00a0My Head\u2019 and \u2018I Will Survive\u2019\u00a0on International Women\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n

She said in 2023 that it would be \u201camazing\u201d to work with Madonna<\/a>, and she later said when asked at an Oscars after party about the chances of a studio hook up<\/a>:\u00a0\u201cMaybe, who\u00a0knows?\u00a0Let\u2019s\u00a0see.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kylie sent a heartfelt message to Madonna after she had been left in intensive care<\/a>\u00a0after a serious bacterial infection.\u00a0\u201c\u2018I feel for everyone touring, but especially women touring,\u201d Minogue said. \u201cI think\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0just that bit more work for us and it is so taxing on\u00a0you as a whole. I will\u00a0definitely be\u00a0getting my ticket and going to see Madonna when she gets back on the road.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Minogue spoke to\u00a0NME\u00a0at the end of\u00a0last year about her plans for\u00a0new music<\/a>, revealing that she had been \u201cthinking about it just quietly, in\u00a0the background\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith these guys [who I am working with now], we always talk about \u2018Oh, remember this one we started and we really didn\u2019t get to finish it\u2019. That discussion is always in the background, and I will have a micro break over Christmas and come back to it. Making music is my hobby and it\u2019s a happy place for me, so I will,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

As for Madonna, the new record marks her first since \u2018Madame X<\/a>\u2019, which arrived in 2019. Around the time of that release, the \u2018Like A Virgin\u2019 singer spoke to\u00a0NME\u00a0about her relationship with being in the public eye<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has its pluses and minuses,\u201d she revealed. \u201cThe great thing about being famous is that you have a voice and you can spread messages and fight for people who don\u2019t have the ability to fight for\u00a0themselves, and\u00a0share your wealth with people who need help.\u201d<\/p>\n
