{"id":593542,"date":"2026-05-20T01:36:33","date_gmt":"2026-05-20T01:36:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/593542\/"},"modified":"2026-05-20T01:36:33","modified_gmt":"2026-05-20T01:36:33","slug":"andy-earl-exhibition-brings-rock-photography-to-bankside-yards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/593542\/","title":{"rendered":"Andy Earl exhibition brings rock photography to Bankside Yards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A photo exhibition of portraits and landscapes has opened in one of the newly finished railway arches at the Bankside development near the Tate Modern.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/andy-earl-02.jpg\" class=\"lightbox\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-89746 leaderimagetop\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/andy-earl-02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1200\" data-eio=\"p\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The works are all by Andy Earl, who mixes wide-angle landscapes with more commercial celebrity photography, mainly of musicians. So you\u2019ve got a mix of photos of streets and architecture interspersed with photos of Annie Lennox, Prince and REM.<\/p>\n<p>The music photography dominates, and many may be familiar to fans of the artists in question, although for my mind the landscapes are more appealing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ianvisits.co.uk\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/andy-earl-03.jpg\" class=\"lightbox\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-89747\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=\" http:=\"\" alt=\"\" width=\"605\" height=\"404\" data-lazy- data-lazy- data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/andy-earl-03-1024x683.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sitting the exhibition in the old railway arch also gives it a bit of added atmosphere, with the rumbling of trains overhead.
