“Now it’s about backing our people, supporting our industries, and bringing in the investment we need to make that potential a reality.<\/p>\n
“What matters most to me is that local people feel the benefit of all this. I want people to have the chance to build a good life for themselves and their families, right here in our region.”<\/p>\n
The plan identifies areas for growth, including Freeport sites in Hull and Goole, regenerating Hull’s Western Docks and developing Bridlington Bay.<\/p>\n
It also talks about supporting an “innovation corridor” along Ferensway in Hull city centre and increasing trade through the Humber ports.<\/p>\n
Housing is also described as a key area, with sites for new homes identified in Hull, Cottingham. Driffield and Bridlington as well as Howden, which could see more than 1,860 properties built near Thorpe Hall.<\/p>\n
