<\/a>The ROG Xreal R1 is a pair of AR glasses that work with handhelds, PCs, and consoles.<\/p>\n

The ROG Xreal R1 glasses will soon be available to purchase, following its announcement at CES 2026. The glasses, which are the first in the world with a 240Hz refresh rate, will be compatible with handhelds, consoles, and PCs.<\/p>\n

Back at CES earlier this year, Asus showed off a pair of AR glasses made in collaboration with Xreal<\/a>. Called the ROG Xreal R1, the device will soon be available to pre-order ahead of its release this summer. <\/p>\n

According to a post on X by Xreal, the\u00a0ROG Xreal R1<\/a> will be released in Europe and North America, and interested buyers will be able to pre-order the glasses starting on May 17. Sadly, there’s still no price yet. It is also not clear whether the glasses will come bundled with the ROG Control Dock<\/a> shown in the image, or if it will be sold separately.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0ROG Xreal R1 will have Micro-OLED displays with a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.01ms response rate.\u00a0It has also been revealed that the AR glasses can display up to a 171-inch virtual screen with a 57\u00b0 field of view. There’s also support for native 3DoF with head tracking and Auto Transparency. <\/p>\n

The Asus ROG Xreal R1 glasses are compatible with handhelds such as the ROG Ally series<\/a>, PC, and console. However, there are still a handful of features that have not yet been revealed such as the brightness, weight, and dimensions.<\/p>\n

\tThe ROG Xreal R01 releases works with the ROG Control Dock.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, with the launch of the ROG Xreal R1, Asus can now take on Lenovo’s Legion Glasses Gen 2<\/a> which have a 120Hz refresh rate, can display up to a 126-inch screen, and are compatible with any device that has a USB-C video output such as the Legion Go handhelds<\/a>. However, with the higher refresh rate and larger virtual screen size of the ROG Xreal R1, there’s a chance they will cost more than the Legion Glasses 2 which are available for $249.99 on Amazon<\/a>.<\/p>\n
