\n\tProduction has wrapped on \u201cSee Bot Run,\u201d a horror-comedy mockumentary from Pluto Labs Films<\/a> starring \u201cAdults\u201d breakout Amita Rao<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSee Bot Run\u201d follows \u201cthe overworked and underpaid employees of a struggling tech startup on the day of a high-stakes AI product launch that could make them millions,\u201d per the official logline. \u201cBut when the company\u2019s secretive invention begins turning against them, the staff finds itself trapped in a chaotic fight for survival\u2026at least until the checks clear.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOn the surface, \u2018See Bot Run\u2019 is a chaotic workplace horror-comedy, but at its core it\u2019s about people who feel trapped inside a system that only values them when they\u2019re useful,\u201d said writer and producer Kevin Noonan in a statement. \u201cThe rise of AI and the culture surrounding it made the story feel even more relevant while we were making the film.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDirected by James Slaven, Rao plays Deena, an \u201covereager and underappreciated\u201d intern at the tech startup.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhat I love about Deena is that she\u2019s trying so hard to succeed in a system that barely notices her until everything starts falling apart,\u201d said Rao in a statement. \u201cThe fundamental grapple between pursuing system-based validation and following what you know is right is one that Deena\u2019s young, innocent heart was maybe not quite yet prepared to confront.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSee Bot Run\u201d also stars \u201cDeli Boys\u201d actor Jake Prizant as the company\u2019s CEO and \u201cThe Whitest Kids U\u2019Know\u201d actor Sam Brown as a veteran sales rep \u201cwatching the company unravel in real time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBehzad Dabu (\u201cHow to Get Away with Murder,\u201d \u201cThe Chi\u201d), Jordan Stafford, Max Lazerine, Annie Sullivan, Dani James, Rogue Schmidt, Zoe Agapinan and George Elrod make up the film\u2019s ensemble cast.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cEveryone has experienced some version of this workplace, from impossible deadlines to inflated executive egos, and exhausted employees pretending everything is under control,\u201d added Slaven in a statement. \u201cThe horror and comedy both come from pushing that reality just far enough over the edge.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSee Bot Run\u201d recently wrapped filming in Chicago and is currently in post-production. The film is independently produced through Pluto Labs Films.\u00a0<\/p>\n
