The One Show has become one of the BBC’s most reliable weekday staples, but viewers tuning in this Friday (22 May) will quickly notice something is missing from the evening schedule on BBC One.

Fronted by Alex Jones and Roman Kemp, the long-running chat show is known for blending entertainment segments into its early evening format. Over the years, the programme has also become accustomed to regular scheduling disruptions whenever major BBC events take priority.

This Friday is no different, as the popular show has been temporarily pulled from the primetime line-up to make room for another major annual event: the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which has been taking up space on the TV schedule this week.
