But if\/when the series is renewed for a third season, it will be without one of its stars, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/tom-hardy\/\" id=\"auto-tag_tom-hardy\" data-tag=\"tom-hardy\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tom Hardy<\/a>, who will not be returning, Deadline has confirmed. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHardy stars opposite Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren in MobLand, which has wrapped production on its second season. Hardy completed the season but not without issues, sources said. Friction between him and the series\u2019 writer, executive producer and showrunner <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/jez-butterworth\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jez-butterworth\" data-tag=\"jez-butterworth\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jez Butterworth<\/a> reportedly boiled over to a point where the two could no longer work together. Hardy\u2019s chronic lateness to set is believed to be one of the points of contention, with tension between him and his co-stars also said to be a contributing factor. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tReps for Hardy and MobLand producers 101 Studios and Paramount TV Studios did not respond to requests for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMobLand <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/06\/mobland-renewed-season-2-paramount-plus-1236439459\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was renewed for a second season last year<\/a> after logging Paramount+\u2019s second biggest launch for an original series behind Landman.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn addition to Butterworth, the series comes from executive producer Guy Ritchie, creator, writer and exec producer Ronan Bennett. Butterworth also is behind Paramount+, 101 and PTVS\u2019 The Agency (via Showtime).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn MobLand, two mob families clash in a war that threatens to topple empires and lives.
