Technically, Ibrahimovic is not directly employed by the club, despite his role being largely on the ground in Italy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That means, that despite the club\u2019s plans for a busy summer of transfer activity, Ibrahimovic is not obliged to be in the building at Milanello, which is why he is available for punditry duty with FOX Sports for the duration of the 2026 World Cup.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, Ibrahimovic took to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DYmtRLqDOrG\/?img_index=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Instagram<\/a>, and appeared to announce some sort of fight against Fury. The pair posed for pictures together and posted to social media with the caption: \u201cBreaking news! It\u2019s on August 1! Dublin, Ireland.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/703275444_18599451007050563_3816.jpg\" class=\"lazyload lazyload wp-image-957620 has-webp size-full\" alt=\"Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Tyson Fury (via Instagram)\"  data- style=\"aspect-ratio:1200\/800;max-width:1200px\"\/>Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Tyson Fury (via Instagram)<\/p>\n<p>According to reports from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gazzetta.it\/Calcio\/Serie-A\/Milan\/22-05-2026\/diviso-tra-mondiale-e-boxe-l-altra-estate-di-ibra-e-il-milan-viene-dopo.shtml?refresh_ce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">La Gazzetta dello Sport<\/a>, however, there is no chance of Ibrahimovic and Fury stepping into the ring and fighting each other, even in some form of exhibition.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Instead, Zlatan\u2019s post is more likely to reference the IBO World super-lightweight title fight between Pierce O\u2019Leary and Mark Chamberlain, which is taking place in Dublin on August 1.
