Thymen Arensman and Egan Bernal arrive at the final rest day of the Giro d’Italia in fourth and 12th place respectively following a safe passage through stage 15.<\/p>\n
A rapid stage played out in a sprint on the streets of Milan, with the GC times taken early on safety grounds on a technical circuit.<\/p>\n
That allowed Arensman and Bernal to finish safely and begin their recovery ahead of Monday’s rest day and a gruelling final week.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Netcompany INEOS worked hard to protect the duo on a fast day in the saddle, as well as set up Ben Turner in the event of a sprint.<\/p>\n
In the end a four-man breakaway proved to be too much for the peloton, with the quartet combining well to remain clear in Milan. In the end it was Fredrik Dversnes (Uno-X Mobility) who won the four-up sprint.<\/p>\n
