{"id":603925,"date":"2026-05-26T01:33:15","date_gmt":"2026-05-26T01:33:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/603925\/"},"modified":"2026-05-26T01:33:15","modified_gmt":"2026-05-26T01:33:15","slug":"google-clarifies-its-slightly-confusing-pair-of-ai-ultra-plans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/603925\/","title":{"rendered":"Google clarifies its slightly confusing pair of AI Ultra plans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t<img width=\"1500\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/google-one-ai-plans-may-2026.jpg\" class=\"skip-lazy wp-post-image\" alt=\"\"  decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Following the introduction of a more affordable new tier, Google One\u2019s AI Ultra plans have been a tiny bit confusing for those looking to switch, but Google is updating the process to make things a bit more clear.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2026\/05\/19\/google-ai-ultra-100\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">During Google I\/O 2026 last week<\/a>, the top-end AI Ultra plan for Google One was split in two \u2013 a $200\/month plan with 30x the usage limits and 30TB of storage, and a second $100\/month plan with lesser limits and storage, but still far more AI compute compared to lesser offerings.<\/p>\n<p>The two plans technically share the same \u201cAI Ultra\u201d plan, though, which is why it was quickly pointed out that Google\u2019s upgrade flow didn\u2019t really do much to show the difference between the two offerings \u2013 just a doubled price tag for a fraction of the added storage that price suggested.<\/p>\n<p>Vikas Kansal, Google\u2019s lead for Gemini AI subscriptions, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/vikaskansalHQ\/status\/2058997363914756288\" rel=\"nofollow\">confirmed on Twitter\/X<\/a> that a change has started rolling out to make this all a bit more clear. Google One AI Ultra plans now directly show the amount of AI usage you get alongside the storage allotment at the time you\u2019re looking to upgrade your plan.
