Dame Joan Collins has shared her “simple” secrets to her age-defying looks following her stunning appearance at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this month.

The 93-year-old turned heads on May 12 at the screening of La Vénus Électrique, commanding attention in a show-stopping sculptural white gown adorned with dramatic, petal-like ruffles that framed her décolletage and flowed effortlessly to the floor.

Joan’s youthful glow didn’t go unnoticed by fans, and it’s not surprising considering she believes that “taking care of yourself is one of the most important things.”

The legendary actress is not one for fad diets and admits the secret to her longevity is “healthy living.”

“I just believe in healthy living,” she told The Telegraph. “I don’t eat junk, I get eight hours of sleep, I exercise. It’s very simple.”

While many can use Joan’s advice as a starting point for their own wellness journey, one aspect they can’t imitate is her genetics.

“I have very good genes – I’m very lucky. My father lived to be 87, and for somebody born in 1903 that’s pretty amazing,” she explained.

“My mother took incredibly exceptional care of me and my sister. When we were growing up she gave us all supplements when nobody was taking supplements.”

Joan admitted that having “perfect” mental health also reflects in her appearance. “I never have thought about my mental health, ever,” she continued.

“My mental health is perfect. I had great parents, I had a wonderful, loving mother, a quite strict father, so I never got into drugs and booze or any of that, so I never thought that there was anything particularly wrong with me.”

However, Joan noted that “being healthy is not my main focus. My main focus is my life, my children, my husband, my friends.”

Joan is happy with her appearance and credits avoiding “tweakments” for maintaining her looks over the years.

“I do not believe in what they call tweakments,” she insisted. “I’ve never had them, which is why I look more or less the same as I have done for years.”

The Dynasty star reiterated her stance on plastic surgery in a recent HELLO! exclusive, saying: “I don’t believe in needles and things. I’ve never had Botox or anything in my face.”

She also stated that “if you feel good, you look good”, revealing that she exercises up to four times a week. “I think it’s important, but it’s not terribly strenuous anymore. You don’t get legs like this if you don’t!”

She echoed her sentiments in 2023, telling The Telegraph: “A lot of people think I’ve had a ton of work done. To set the record straight: I have not.

“I haven’t had Botox, I haven’t had any tweakments, I haven’t had fat injections, and honestly, when I look at the women who have – certainly a lot of women in their 40s – it appalls me.”

Dame Joan Collins has shared her “simple” secrets to her age-defying looks following her stunning appearance at the Cannes…

[27
160823,41891,206125,96,819,1666,2839,206126,56,54,55
post-604480","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-movies","tag-cannes","tag-cannes-film-festival","tag-dame-joan-collins","tag-entertainment","tag-france","tag-getty-images","tag-movies","tag-stunning-appearance","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom","tag-unitedkingdom
["GET
