Emergency services respond to incident at Albert Dock, Liverpool(Image: Liverpool ECHO)<\/p>\n
A man was found dead near the Albert Dock on bank holiday Monday. Emergency services were called to Salthouse Quay at around 12.15pm on May 25 following “reports of a concern for the safety of a man”.<\/p>\n
The police urged people to avoid the area<\/a> while emergency responders were at the docks. Hundreds of people were visiting the area due to the hot weather<\/a> and also to watch a Red Bull event.<\/a><\/p>\n Ambulance services could be seen parked on the bridge just a few metres away from crowds watching the slippery pole challenge. The ECHO<\/a> understands the emergency response was focused on a boat.<\/p>\n No cordon was in place, although emergency service personnel were seen throughout the crowd.
