{"id":605043,"date":"2026-05-26T16:18:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-26T16:18:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/605043\/"},"modified":"2026-05-26T16:18:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-26T16:18:08","slug":"tyson-fury-announces-date-and-location-for-next-fight-before-anthony-joshua-clash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/605043\/","title":{"rendered":"Tyson Fury announces date and location for next fight before Anthony Joshua clash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/boxer\/tyson-fury\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tyson Fury<\/a> has revealed the details surrounding his return to the ring this summer.<\/p>\n<p>Two-time world heavyweight champion Fury ended a 16-month retirement back in April when he went up against Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.<\/p>\n<p>It was the first time that \u2018The Gypsy King\u2019 was in action since his back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024, but Fury was able to return to winning ways by <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/news\/tyson-fury-makhmudov-live-scorecard\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">claiming a dominant unanimous decision win over the Russian.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Following his win, Fury called out Anthony Joshua for a long-awaited showdown later this year, and while it wasn\u2019t made official on that night, it has since been confirmed that the two men are planning to do battle towards the end of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Before that can take place, Joshua must first overcome Kristian Prenga in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in July, and due to \u2018AJ\u2019 having a warm-up bout beforehand, Fury also revealed his intentions to compete again in the interim before turning his attention to his British rival.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The Gypsy King\u2019 has now announced when that interim bout is set to be with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/tysonfury\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">a post on social media.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet\u2019s go, August 1, Dublin, Ireland.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fury\u2019s promoter Frank Warren already has an event in Dublin scheduled for that August date, as Pierce O\u2019Leary meets Mark Chamberlain for the IBO super-lightweight title, so the announcement from \u2018The Gypsy King\u2019 suggests he will be added to that card.<\/p>\n<p>No opponent for the fight has been confirmed yet, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skysports.com\/boxing\/news\/12040\/13547527\/tyson-fury-british-boxers-warm-up-fight-for-mammoth-clash-against-anthony-joshua-set-to-be-announced-this-week-says-frank-warren\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Warren stated earlier this week that it is set to be a \u2018good heavyweight.\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<p>                                            <script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Tyson Fury has revealed the details surrounding his return to the ring this summer.
