Young love is in the air!<\/p>\n

Fan-favorite gay teen drama Heartstopper<\/a> will be coming to a close soon, but not before we get more of Nick (Kit Conner<\/a>) and Charlie\u2019s (Joe Locke<\/a>) adorable puppy love.<\/p>\n

Netflix just released first-look images for the upcoming movie titled Heartstopper Forever<\/a>, which will bid a final farewell to the young lovers. <\/p>\n

The streaming behemoth dropped four images for the film that will premiere on July 17, including photos of Nick at a restaurant and Charlie standing in front of a school bulletin board, but the ones driving fans wild feature the two boys together.<\/p>\n

One photo shows Nick and Charlie back in their school uniforms in the halls of their high school, and the other has them dancing together and looking sickeningly happy.<\/p>\n

The upcoming feature-length conclusion to the beloved show is written by Heartstopper author Alice Oseman and stars Connor and Locke are also serving as executive producers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese characters have meant a lot to us over the years,\u201d Connor told Netflix\u2019s TUDUM<\/a>. \u201cAs EPs, it feels like we can really say goodbye to them in a way that feels the most right. It is bittersweet, but it is also a really nice way of ending it.\u201d Locke agrees, adding, \u201cThis show has meant so much to me in my life. I\u2019ll always carry that with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The movie will follow Nick as he gets ready to head off to college, while Charlie struggles to finish school and figure out who he is without his popular boyfriend, forcing them to try to make a long-distance relationship work.<\/p>\n

“Meanwhile, their friends are also navigating the ups and downs of love and friendship, confronting the bittersweet challenges of growing up and moving on. Can first loves really last forever?\u201d the official synopsis reads.<\/p>\n

The show\u2019s fanbase is already getting geared up for the movie to drop, flooding the Heartstopper Instagram account\u2019s post of the first-look images with excited comments.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy babies look so grown and so IN LOVE,\u201d one person wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so torn every time, because I can\u2019t wait to see the movie, but I wish it weren\u2019t the end of us getting to peer in on Nick & Charlie\u2019s continuing story,\u201d someone lamented.<\/p>\n
