One of PS5’s best games, Astro Bot<\/a>, has today received a small update, but any hope it’s related to the impending State of Play must unfortunately be cast aside.<\/p>\n

The update takes the title to version 1.019.000, and is only 400 MB in size. Team Asobi hasn’t released any official patch notes, but a bit of research on X suggests there’s nothing to get amped up about.<\/p>\n

Responding to Genki’s post about the update, user @PeelyMaster<\/a> shared a screenshot of an in-game pop-up, promoting PlayStation Tournaments.<\/p>\n

As part of Sony’s current Days of Play<\/a> promotion, PS5 users are invited to take part in PlayStation Tournaments across a variety of titles, including Astro Bot. If you sign up for this, you’ll see the above pop-up.<\/p>\n

As far as we can tell, that’s the only addition.<\/p>\n

Given the update’s proximity to the upcoming State of Play, I can certainly understand why some were speculating it could be an indication of more DLC. It’s not like we haven’t had surprise Astro Bot DLC before.<\/p>\n

While there’s a slim chance of that happening, I think the update is nothing more than adding in this Tournaments pop-up.<\/p>\n
