Canelo Alvarez<\/a> has been offered a huge fight as he prepares to return for the first time since he lost all of his world title belts last September.<\/p>\n

That fight was a defence of his undisputed super-middleweight status against Terence Crawford<\/a>, who has since retired undefeated and was the first male boxer to capture the undisputed championship in three divisions.<\/p>\n

Alvarez is now 35 years old and a veteran of 68 fights, with 63 of those being wins. He is set to return to the ring for his traditional September fight date against Christian Mbilli, but a potential future opponent has now revealed himself in Jake Paul.<\/p>\n

Paul has leaked a phone call on X<\/a> that he shared with the Mexican, and started with high praise for his achievements.<\/p>\n

\u201cI look up to you; you are an inspiration. Me and you have many similarities. One day, we make a good fight, until then, we can be friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then said he is willing to fight for the eye-watering sum of money Canelo demands.<\/p>\n

\u201cCanelo, I have the $200 million for you. Easy money, Jake Paul versus Canelo, let\u2019s get it done. This is the biggest fight that can possibly be made in boxing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking after the call, Paul confirmed Canelo was keen.<\/p>\n

\u201cCanelo said he is down on the phone, so we\u2019re going to make it happen. I have the $200 million, and I think that\u2019s going to be the next fight, so sign the contract, Canelo. Much respect to you, let\u2019s make the biggest fight in boxing happen.\u201d<\/p>\n
