Crescent Pharma Limited\u202fis recalling one batch of Ramipril\u202f2.5mg\u202fcapsules as a precautionary measure\u202fdue to a\u00a0packaging error\u202f which may mean some cartons contain blister strips of a higher dose, specifically Ramipril 10mg.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
This follows a\u00a0complaint\u00a0which\u202fidentified\u202fthat, inside a sealed carton of Crescent Pharma Limited Ramipril 2.5mg capsules, two\u00a0blister\u00a0strips\u00a0of Ramipril\u00a010mg capsules were found by a healthcare\u00a0professional.\u00a0Both product batches were manufactured at the same\u00a0site, and the error appears to have occurred during packaging of the cartons.\u202f\u202f\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ramipril is\u00a0a\u00a0medicine used\u00a0for\u00a0the treatment of hypertension\u00a0(high blood pressure), kidney\u00a0disease\u00a0and heart failure.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you take\u202fCrescent Pharma Limited\u00a0Ramipril\u202f2.5mg\u00a0capsules,\u202fcheck the packaging for batch number GR155023.\u202fThe batch number and expiry date information can be found on\u202fthe\u202fouter\u202fcarton.\u202fIf you\u202fhave received this batch,\u202fcheck that the\u202fmedication\u202fstrength\u00a0on the carton matches the blister strips inside.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cIf the\u202f2.5mg\u202fcarton\u202fof\u00a0Crescent Pharma Limited\u00a0Ramipril\u202fcontains\u202fblister strips that are labelled as Ramipril 10mg capsules,\u202fdo not to take the medicine and\u00a0contact\u00a0your dispensing pharmacy. If the carton contains blister strips that are correctly labelled as Crescent Pharma Limited Ramipril 2.5mg capsules, you do not need to take further action and\u00a0should\u00a0continue to\u00a0take your medicine\u00a0as usual.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
