Apple\u2019s long-awaited Siri overhaul<\/a>, expected to arrive in iOS 27, might look a lot like ChatGPT with a splash of Liquid Glass. Renders from Bloomberg<\/a> offer a preview of iOS 27, including the new app and chat interface for Siri. The renders are \u201cbased on information viewed by Bloomberg and people with knowledge of [Apple\u2019s] plans,\u201d and could differ from Apple\u2019s final designs, which Bloomberg\u2019s Mark Gurman says Apple will reveal at WWDC in June.<\/p>\n

The images show a new pill-shaped Siri chat bubble popping out of the Dynamic Island with a drop-down menu containing options for Ask, Siri, and ChatGPT. According to Gurman, you\u2019ll be able to open this new chat bubble by swiping down from the center of the top edge of the display. It will reportedly work anywhere in iOS 27, similar to how Android users can start a Gemini chat by tapping and holding the home button, regardless of what app they\u2019re in.<\/p>\n

The new standalone Siri app<\/a> shown in Bloomberg\u2019s renders resembles ChatGPT\u2019s chatbot layout, with a pill-shaped query box, buttons for adding attachments and activating voice mode, and chat history. Past chats will reportedly be viewable as a list or as a collection of rectangles, similar to how notes are laid out as blocks in Google Keep.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg also offers a glimpse at Apple\u2019s updated Camera app<\/a>, which is rumored to include a new Siri mode and more customization options. The renders show a new menu of widgets for adding (or removing) controls in the Camera app, as well as a \u201cSiri\u201d option nestled between the \u201cPhoto\u201d and \u201cPortrait\u201d modes. A similar AI \u201cTools\u201d editing option also appears in Bloomberg\u2019s render of the updated Photos app, which will reportedly include three new AI editing features<\/a>, along with the current \u201cClean Up\u201d option.<\/p>\n

Apple is expected to show off its big Siri overhaul at WWDC, which kicks off on June 8th<\/a>.
