{"id":610131,"date":"2026-05-29T10:38:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T10:38:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/610131\/"},"modified":"2026-05-29T10:38:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T10:38:08","slug":"inquest-opens-for-sisters-who-died-in-sea-off-brighton-beach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/610131\/","title":{"rendered":"Inquest opens for sisters who died in sea off Brighton beach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">An inquest has opened into the deaths of three sisters in the sea off Brighton beach. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Jane Adetoro, 36, Christina Walters, 32, and Rebecca Walters, 31, who were all living together in Greenford, London, died on 13 May in what police called a &#8220;terrible tragedy&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">At the inquest at Brighton &amp; Hove Coroner&#8217;s Court on Friday, senior coroner Penelope Schofield offered her condolences to their father Joseph, who attended via a remote link.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Addressing him directly she said: &#8220;It must be a difficult day for your family.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"An inquest has opened into the deaths of three sisters in the sea off Brighton beach.
