Strictly Come Dancing star La Voix has been supported by her ballroom ‘family’ over superstar move as she tours across England in musical Annie as Miss Hannigan. She made a big impression last year when she took part in the 23rd series of Strictly<\/a> Come Dancing with professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec. She was the first ever drag queen to compete on the main series of the BBC<\/a> One dancing competition.<\/p>\n

Sadly, La Voix <\/a>picked up an injury and had to withdraw just before the iconic Blackpool edition of the show. She was one of three contestants whose exit occurred due to injury over the course of the 2025 series.<\/p>\n

This year, she was selected as the United Kingdom\u2019s very first Eurovision \u2018spokesqueen’. La Voix, whose non-performer name is Chris Dennis, will deliver the UK\u2019s National Jury\u2019s results live from Salford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a statement, the drag queen said: “I\u2019m absolutely over the moon to be announcing the UK Jury scores at Eurovision 2026. It\u2019s the one night where sequins are en masse, key changes are compulsory, and absolutely anything can happen \u2013 so naturally I feel right at home.”<\/p>\n

La Voix, whose real name is Christopher Dennis, quipped: “I\u2019ll do my best to behave\u2026 but no promises!” As they prepared to attend the glitzy Grand Final.<\/p>\n

The former Strictly star followed in the footsteps of the likes of AJ Odudu, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Dame Joanna Lumley and Catherine Tate.<\/p>\n

However, that wasn’t the only big move as Strictly<\/a> RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race UK star La Voix is currently starring as Miss Hannigan in Annie with the tour getting underway in Wimbledon on May 23, before moving on to Birmingham, Manchester, Plymouth and Canterbury.<\/p>\n

Coronation Street’s Claire Sweeney will then take on the iconic role from July 7, at Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, before heading to Milton Keynes, Blackpool, Newcastle, Dublin, Bristol, Nottingham, Hull, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Truro, Cheltenham, Stoke, Crawley, Belfast, Aberdeen, Woking, Bradford, Oxford, Sunderland, Southampton, Norwich, Wolverhampton, Sheffield, Glasgow and Leicester.<\/p>\n

On Instagram, Strictly 2025 winner Karen Carney celebrated La Voix’s “superstar” move as the Strictly family reunited to support their ballroom co-star.<\/p>\n

Joined by Chris Robshaw, Balvinder Sopal, Nikita Kuzmin, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Vicky Pattison, Karen penned: “What a superstar you are @lavoixtheshow @anniemusicaluk is an amazing show with an incredible cast and we\u2019re so proud of you Go check it out if you haven\u2019t already! Also so great to be back with the Strictly gang”.<\/p>\n

In the comments, Vicky added: “Our familyyyyyy” as La Voix sent hearts to the Strictly cast. It comes just after the new hosts for the BBC juggernaut were revealed as Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman stepped down after the last series.<\/p>\n
