\"Fable<\/a><\/p>\n

Fable<\/a>, the highly anticipated Xbox RPG confirmed for PS5<\/a>, will not release in 2026 as previously planned<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a statement<\/a>, publisher Microsoft said it\u2019s moving the Playground developed release to February 2027, where it \u201ccan have the dedicated moment it deserves\u201d.<\/p>\n

A \u201cmajor new look\u201d at the game will air next week, during the Xbox Showcase<\/a> on 7th June, so PlayStation fans will want to tune in.<\/p>\n

This is year is packed with incredible games for XBOX players to enjoy, from Halo: Campaign Evolved, Gears of War: E-Day and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 to Control Resonant, Star Wars: Galactic Racer and Grand Theft Auto VI. There had been rumours<\/a> that the new Fable game could get delayed due to GTA 6<\/a>, and judging by the wording of Microsoft\u2019s statement, that does appear to be the case.<\/p>\n

Rockstar\u2019s open world is set to arrive on 19th November, and it\u2019s likely Playground was targeting a similar window. Considering just how big the crime opus is poised to be, postponing the RPG for around three months makes sense.<\/p>\n

Fable will launch day-and-date on PS5 in February 2027, marking the franchise\u2019s debut on a Sony system.<\/p>\n

While there has been confusion about Microsoft’s approach to exclusives<\/a>, the UK-based dev recently reiterated<\/a> that it\u2019s committed to bringing this game to PS5 alongside all other platforms.<\/p>\n
