As rumors swirl about Sarah Ferguson<\/a>\u2019s current spending habits, some people claim that she\u2019s always depended on others to bankroll her lifestyle.<\/p>\n

In an updated version of royal author Andrew Lownie\u2019s book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, he alleged that Fergie has often relied on her eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice<\/a>, for financial help, even reportedly using her credit cards when money was tight.<\/p>\n

This reportedly left Beatrice and her younger sister, Princess Eugenie<\/a>, feeling deeply \u201cembarrassed\u201d by some of their mother\u2019s actions behind closed doors. The book also alleged that, on occasion, staff members had to pay for certain expenses themselves due to Fergie\u2019s financial difficulties. It was further alleged that the former Duchess of York \u201crarely paid for anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe assistant and other staff members had problems getting paid and often had to buy things using their own credit cards,\u201d Lownie wrote. \u201cSarah herself drew on Beatrice\u2019s credit card constantly and paid one psychic in cigarettes.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, Fergie has reportedly gone into hiding as renewed attention falls on her and ex-Prince Andrew\u2019s past connection with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Sources suggest she has been coping by indulging in retail therapy, a habit that could worsen her financial situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe last thing she should be doing right now is pouring money down the drain, but she still feels entitled to the high life. Her excuse is that she\u2019s in a crisis and she needs this pampering. That\u2019s for her mental health,\u201d an insider told RadarOnline<\/a> in mid-May 2026. \u201cThat means bottle after bottle of expensive champagne for her and whoever she can rope in to join her. And when she\u2019s not knocking back drinks, she\u2019s at the spa getting massages, body wraps and facials. She\u2019s spending money like there\u2019s no tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fergie\u2019s excessive spending has also reportedly left her credit cards maxed out. According to Heat World<\/a>, Eugenie and Beatrice are increasingly worried that they might be forced to help pay off their mother\u2019s debts.<\/p>\n

\u201cAndrew isn\u2019t going to hand over a dime to cover her bills so it\u2019s all going on her credit cards which are already maxed out,\u201d the source explained. \u201cIt\u2019s so frustrating for her girls because they could be the ones that have to bail her out.\u201d<\/p>\n
