Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks has revealed that Leah Barnes and Imran Maalik will return to the village next week, in a glamorous arrival that leaves both of their families shocked. Earlier this year, it was announced that the two former characters were coming back to the soap as an unexpected couple, with newcomer Charlotte Riley taking over the role of Leah.

Their return plot unfolds next week, beginning when Gemma spots a fancy sports car blocking ambulance access to the hospital. She is furious about this careless parking, but she and Misbah are distracted by Imran making a surprise appearance – after last appearing in the village in 2023.

Meanwhile, Vicky gets a notification on her phone that stops her in her tracks, and she heads to update Ste on this big news.

As Gemma seeks out intel on her returning stepbrother, Vicky, Misbah and Ste are stunned when Imran and Leah arrive in the village hand in hand, presenting themselves as a couple for the first time.

Leah explains to her loved ones that she and Imran are moving back to Hollyoaks and have purchased a place by the river – as Imran is now a tech millionaire! Leah hid her new wealth and her new boyfriend from her dad, Ste, when he visited her in the States recently, but she admits she didn’t want him to get carried away with everything.

As she gets settled back in the village, Leah decides to throw her and Imran a welcome-home party at The Dog and takes her dad shopping to buy something stylish to wear.

Meanwhile, Misbah doesn’t really understand Imran and Leah’s modern new careers, so Vicky clears up her confusion – and later at the party, Misbah proudly boasts about her son’s achievements over the last couple of years.

As celebrations begin, Ste wastes no time in taking advantage of the free food on offer and the gifts from his daughter. However, struggling Vicky noticeably avoids eating at the party.

Seeing her old friend Leah loved up and successful has an effect on Vicky, leaving her feeling that she wants more for her life. But Leah gives her some much-needed support, reminding her that she is beautiful and is a business owner herself.

Leah also notices Vicky and Prince looking at each other from across the room and senses a connection, so she has a bright idea and tells Imran that she has found her new project.

We know that Prince and Vicky have put their potential romance on hold for a few weeks, but will Leah play matchmaker?

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
